We sailed into Cartagena very early in the morning and I was up at 05:15 for sail in photos…Cartagena has a great skyline, always love coming here. Left the ship and headed to the Cruise Terminal to see the birds! We hit pay dirt today…it was feeding time at the zoo! I got some great shots of the different species of monkeys, iguanas, and birds and other creatures… This is one of the best cruise terminals you can visit with the nature preserve full of colorful birds all around you as well as turtles, monkeys, flamingos, toucans and peacocks. Once back on the ship we relaxed in the sun. I took sail away photos of the beautiful Cartagena skyline and San Fernando de Bocachica Fort on Tierra Bomba Island. It was another glorious day, very hot (102F with the heat index), nice breeze and beautiful sail out of the harbor….
