It was a really hazy day as we sailed into Dubai mid-day…. I was a bit concerned because we had a reservation to go up the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building at 2716 feet high. Hazy weather wasn’t going to help the view. Brad, Gloria, Ann, Cathy & I took the shuttle to the Dubai Mall, an absolutely huge mall that happens to be adjacent to the Burj Khalifa. The mall even has a waterfall, huge aquarium and ice skating rink…. At 2:30 we went up to the 124th floor via elevator and went up to 125 via the stairs. Despite the hazy weather, the view was pretty good. That pretty much summed up our first day here. In the morning we are scheduled for a float plane ride over Dubai, hope the skies are clear.
