We had a beautiful sail into Mindelo, Cape Verde this morning…. The mountains here are very dramatic in appearance! It was so beautiful that it promised to be a wonderful day. Cathy, Ann, Ian, Carole & I got a van and driver this morning for a tour around part of the island. We headed out across the island, tsking in some amazing scenery. First we headed out toward Madeiral. We stopped along the way for photos. Just couldn’t get enough of the scenery. Past Madeiral, we headed to Topi and then Calhau. Once again. Great scenery, particularily the volcanoes and beautiful water. Then we headed up toward Baia das Gatas before heading to Mt Verde…. All along the way it was mezmerizing! Once back in town it was time for the markets…. Nothing like taking photos of people in their everyday life. In the afternoon we stopped at a couple of cafes for drinks and, of course, WiFi.
