Day 113 Mormugao, India

Well, I did it again….  I took way too many photos but I decided to squeeze out one post today (with a lot of photos).  I went ashore first thing with Mike & Janet and we arranged for a taxi for the day.  Our first destination was Old Goa.  We went to see the Basilica of Bom Jesus and the Chapel of St Catherine, both magnificent structures.  We also stopped by the Convent of St Monica and explored the ruins adjacent to it.  Then it was market time again…  We went to the city of Panjim to visit the markets.  The markets there are pretty good with a lot of traffic and many vendors.  It is nice to have an opportunity to see the daily lives of the local Indian people.  Then we headed back toward the ship to the town of Vasco de Gama.  Here we also found pretty good markets and a fishing village as well.  We explored both in great detail before calling it a day and heading bck to the ship.  Great day!!!  Tomorrow, a 2 day stop at Mumbai….
