Savannah Day 4

Today was another hot, humid day at the beach...  I love taking photos of the Tybee Lighthouse so much that I decided to climb it today.  I can tell you this... When it is hotter than Hades is not the best time to be climbing up a lighthouse.  Boy was I cooking by the time I got to the top.  It was a nice beach day.....

  1. Have been reading your posts about your Megacruise - will be on the Holland America 2012 World Cruise. Interested in your comments about just walking into town and not taking HAL excursions. Is it possible for one or two single older ladies to do? Which ports would you recommend are safe enough? thanks for info. Great blogs!! Love all the photos and info.

  2. If this will be your first World Voyage I would recommend looking closely at the HAL excursions. It is always possible to do your own thing but you must do the research to understand the port, know what you'd like to see or do and understand the options you have to execute your plan. Sometimes the ship is the best option but other times it is better to go on your own. Check out the Rool Call for the World Voyage on Cruise Critic.

  3. Hi Jeff: It's your friend, Rie! Lovely view from the lighthouse - almost feel like hugging the wall to keep from falling!

Your upcoming road trip sounds like so much fun. The real test is if you and Brad are still friends at the end of the trip. LOL.

Take are care and keep on blogging.

I am looking forward to your next adventure and more wonderful photos.

I loved the photo of the tram taken in Savannah, I think it might have come from here in Melbourne (Australia).
