Day 188 Salalah, Oman (Part 1 of 2)

Brad, Ann, Cathy & I headed out very early this morning and negotiated with a taxi to take us on a 3-4 hour tour.  We headed to the fishing village of Taqah where a pretty nice fort exists.  I was here in 2011 and thought it was worth a bit of a drive.  As luck would have it, our driver spoke little English which was a bit of a challenge.  After Taqah, we headed back to Salalah, straight for the Fish Souk…..  Great place!  We then finished up in the old souks where mainly frankincense was featured….  We wrapped it up and I headed for the pool.  From 4:00 until 5:30 we had a wonderful party at the mid ship pool area, including a belly dancer, the 1001 Arabian Sights Sail away.  Great fun was had by all!  Now we have 4 days at sea as we rest up for Aqabah, Jordan and Petra, a major highlight!
