Day 104 Chaing Mai, Thailand (Part 2 Afternoon tours)

This afternoon we had 2 major sights to see, Doi Suthep and then the Hmong hill tribe village...   The hill tribe village, along with the others we have seen so far, was a bit of a disappointment.  They really have modernized from their "hill tribe days" so the tours are a bit of a reach.  We enjoyed the day dispite all this, taking in the beauty of Thailand and its people...  Wat Pohrathad Doi Suthep (built in 1384) is at 3500 feet above dea level.  The panoramic views were non-existant because northern Thailand is so thick with smoke that visability is near zero in places.  The temple was magnificent...  It was a fairly nice afternoon.  Brad & I capped it off with 2 hour hot stone massages and dinner....  Now we are blogging....
