Today was a sea day with scenic cruising through the Strait of Gibraltar. For some unknown reason our itinerary changed a while back and we had to skip Gibraltar. The Strait of Gibraltar is an 8.9-mile maritime chokepoint that connects the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, separating Europe (Spain and the Rock of Gibraltar) from North Africa (Morocco). The weather was not that great…it was cloudy and rainy, but I was able to get some photos of the Strait and the Rock of Gibraltar. Not great photos but, the best that I could do. Today’s bonus was capturing some playful dolphins close to the ship. Another good day on the Volendam. Cartagena, Spain tomorrow!
