Today, Allan, Sandra & I had the most amazing day in Moorea. We visited our friend Ellie, from Denver, who is staying in Moorea for 2 months. She picked us up at the ferry dock and our magnificent day began…. We started with a tour of the island which by any measure is just beautiful. Then we went to lunch at a restaurant next to Ellie’s house. The lunch was simply wonderful. Then it was back to Ellie’s for a dip in the pool… What a day! We took the ferry back to Papeete and arrived just as the skies opened up with a torrential downpour…. Great timing. It was a fabulous day, thanks Ellie!

jeff, i start to sing "bali ha'i" when i saw your photos. we stayed there many years ago on our honeymoon at a hotel on cook's bay. i think it is now called bali ha'i hotel. the view across the bay is the mountain (moua roa) used as bali ha'i in the movie south pacific. thanks for the memories. beachlady

Great photographer Jeff. You are making me want to park my boat for 4 months of having another captain navigate the waters. In fact, I'm gonna check into flying in and joining your cruise...
ReplyDeleteAh thank you Jeff for the fantastic photos and for reminding us why we fell in love with Moorea. Such a glorious island. Beautiful one day, glorious the next.
