Tales of the South Pacific, Day 44, Fakarava, Tuamotu, French Polynesia (Part 2 of 2)

What a great day!  First time visit to the boomerang shaped atoll of Fakarava part of  the Tuamotu and Gambier Islands of French Polynesia…….  It’s another, beautiful, long skinny atoll.  We tendered into the town of Rotoava, population of around 750.  Today was a day exploring, on foot, the town and along the atoll enjoying the wonderful people and natural beauty of our surroundings….  Took it easy today and made it back to the ship after walking around for 1o miles…  I enjoyed every minute of taking in everything this lush, beautiful atoll had to offer….  It is always a pleasure when you know that the people who live there genuinely appreciate you being there…  Great day!!!  As usual, this blog is in two parts, this is part two.
