Volendam Adventure, Willemstad, Curacao

What a day!!!  We arrived into Willemstad, Curacao this morning and we had a full day planned.  I took off first thing to explore the city, snap some photos and ultimately make my way to Aart & Ellen’s house.  Timing was important because they were picking Allan & Sandra up at the pier at 9:30 so I didn’t want to arrive too early.  Once I arrived at the house, we all had a wonderful time catching up and reminiscing about all the wonderful times we had together.  About 11:00, we headed over to Willo & Jacqueline’s to follow them to the Yacht Club to go out in Willo’s boat for the afternoon…  We also had the pleasure of making a new friendship with Ingrid, who was visiting from the Netherlands.  We had such a wonderful time!  There was lots of scenic beauty, talking, laughing, swimming, drinking and eating…  just a perfect afternoon.  At 3:00 we returned to the Yacht Club to head back.  We had invited everyone to join Allan, Sandra & I to dinner on the ship in the Pinnacle Grill.  Everyone arrived at the ship at 6:00 and we got together for drinks before dinner….  We had a magnificent dinner and were blessed to have Captain Friso and Hotel Director Simon to stop by to say hello…  It was a great evening and perfect day!!!!

Volendam Adventure, Kralendijk, Bonaire

Another fabulous day…. We have arrived at our first stop at the ABC islands, Bonaire….  We pulled into the port of Kralendijk around 7:00 and the weather was looking very promising.  I was off the ship first thing, and headed out for a walkabout.  I always loved coming to these islands…  great islands and wonderful people.  I stopped off at the pier at Karol’s Restaurant for refreshments and Wi-Fi and just enjoyed the fresh breezes.  After I had seen and visited all the places that I wanted to visit, I headed back to the ship….  And you know the rest of the story, a relaxing day in the sun. A very big day tomorrow, we visit Curacao and our friends there….  We have a day on our friend Willo’s boat followed by a wonderful dinner onboard in the Pinnacle Grill….
