After a pretty strenuous day yesterday, I took it much easier today... I decided to just do a walking tour of Papeete, a city I have visited many times. Despite taking it easy, I did manage to get in 8 miles of walking. The walk was nice, I enjoyed a visit to the Presidential Palace, a number of nice pieces of street art, Polynesian dancers and of course the markets.... I took the afternoon to catch up on my blog since my dehydration yesterday kept me from doing anything with my photos... Feeling much better today, looking for a little touring in Moorea tomorrow.
Jeff, the third photo looks like the old Tahara'a Hotel. The last time I was there, the driver said it had been closed for a few years. I hope it has reopened under different ownership because it was a spectacular venue...stayed there quite a few years ago....Beachlady
