Day 54 Sydney Australia (Part 1 of 3)

We had a beautiful sail into the Sydney harbor this morning…  We docked at the new cruise ship terminal in White Bay.  It was going to be a pretty exciting day because my friend Con Mavridis was picking me up for a bit of adventure.  First we headed to Featherdale Wildlife Park which is a pretty good one.  We saw lots of great wildlife and magnificent birds.  We spent 2-3 hours there and then headed out to the Blue Mountains.  On the way we stopped for lunch and had delicious Aussie meat pies….  Yummy!  Our first stop in the Blue Mountains was a hike to Wentworth Falls.  It was a nice hike with some wonderful views.  Really enjoyed the hike.  Next we headed to Leura where we went to see “The Three Sisters”.  We did some scenic driving after that ending up at Katoomba at Scenic World for some more scenic viewing.  We stopped for dinner at Blackheath on the way back to Sydney.  It was nice to sit with Con, relax and have a delightful dinner.  Back in Sydney, rather than going back to the ship Con did a dropoff at the far side of the Sydney Harbor Bridge which was the perfect spot to start some night time photography of Sydney….  It was a beautiful night!  Finally made it back to the ship after midnight, finishing up an exceptional day….  Thanks Con!!!!  This is part one of 3 parts.
