Day 68 Honolulu, Hawaii

We had just a wonderful day on Oahu…..  After going through USA immigration, I went ashore with my friends Fred, Georgette, Bert & Charlotte.  We rented a car and headed out.  Firstt stop, the Apple Store.  Months at sea make it impossible (or very expensive) to update all your apple devices so off to the Apple Store we went.  Next it was Walmart of all places but….  Traveling for 7 ½ months requires you to pick up the odd item from time to time.  Then it was off to Waikiki Beach…  We spent some time there and even had lunch along the beach.  Then we decided to go up to the Pali Lookout for some very scenic and very dramatic views of some of Hawaii’s mountains and shoreline.  Great stop….  just awesome!  Then we headed for Diamond Head Park fro a scenic drive and stopped from time to time to take a photo or two.  Before we returned to the ship, we stopped at Iolani Palace and the Kamehameha Statue, great way to end our sightseeing…..  This evening I had dinner with Leslie & Handler outside by the water beneath the Aloha Tower….  Just fantastic!
