Day 62 Suva, Fiji (Part 1 of 2)

It was a bit rainy as we sailed into Suva this morning but the weather quickly cleared to make for a very nice day.  Once again, the Fijian people proved themselves to be extraordinarily friendly.  We first went to the markets which were just amazing, such a great place to see the local people go about their day to day lives and to have a few laughs with the locals.   We spent quite a bit of time there before embarking on a walking tour around Suva.  During our walk we stopped at the Grand Pacific Hotel, a very old and elegant hotel.  We stopped for drinks and a bit of ice cream sundaes for refreshments….  Nice stop!  Then we continued on, stopping at the Thurston Botanical Gardens for a stroll.  Then we meandered around the city, going through Little India and finishing up at the craft markets.  It was another wonderful day in Fiji…  Great fun!  Here is part 1 of 2 parts.
