Day 153 Kangaroo Island, Australia

Today was a wonderful day….  We tendered ashore with Brad & Gloria on the first tender to pick up our rental car to explore Kangaroo Island for the first time.  We headed out from Penneshaw across the island to Flinders Chase National Park Visitor Center.  Here we got the recommendations of what to see and where to go.  We headed south to Admirals Arch and Cape du Couedic.  The scenery was beautiful and there was also a colony of New Zealand fur seals.  Just a beautiful spot!  Next we went to Weirs Cove to check out the coastal scenery.  The final stop was at the Remarkable Rocks, a stunning collection of huge rocks with various shapes and sizes….. Then we headed back across the island to Seal Bay, where we found some amazing scenery and a colony of Australian Sea Lions.  Then it was back to Penneshaw where we caught a tender back to the ship.  It was a wonderful day exploring this lovely island and its wildlife…..

  2. Hi Jeff,

You have just visited one of our most favourite islands and places in Oz. We spent a wonderful 8 days on this beautiful island back in 2011 and are looking forward to returning there in the near future. You certainly saw a lot on your only visit. The photos are amazing.
