Day 47 Hamilton Island, Australia (Post 2 of 2)

Today was a fun filled day….  It was my first visit to Hamilton Island and I chose to head out to the great Barrier Reef for some snorkeling for most of the day….  You can see the wonderful underwater world around Hamilton Island in my other post for today.  The sail into Hamilton Island was quite lovely.  Once anchored, it was off to shore side to catch our boat out to the reef.   The snorkeling was quite nice and afterwards we went to a beach on Henning Island which was just beautiful….  Then it was back to Hamilton where larry, Carol & I wandered around the island for a while before planting ourselves on Catseye Beach.  It was a wonderful day!

  1. Your Barrier Reef pics are GREAT--hopefully there will be some good snorkeling opps during December's cruise

Hamilton looks nicer than Phuket-have been to Daydream Isl but that was not as spectacular
