Voyage of the Vikings, Day 1 Boston Embarkation....

Today was pretty exciting as our day to sail arrived.  We left the hotel around 11:45 and went to the Cruise Port.   The embarkation was the slowest I have ever experienced.  They apparently “waived” the priority check-in for their most frequent cruisers. It was far quicker to be in the non-priority line, go figure???   Will wonders never cease?   Anyway, we finally boarded and are now underway, sailing to our first port Corner Brook, Newfoundland.  We arrive there on Tuesday and I anticipate that it will be a fun day.  Our cruise director is Bruce Scudder who I have known for some time having sailed on 6 World Voyages and 3 Grand Asia Voyages.  The interesting thing is that he may be the only crew member that I know, very unusual…..  Time to wrap this up and prepare for a wonderful day at sea tomorrow.

  1. Jeff,

Looking forward to more of your wonderful photos. Your cruise will bring back many wonderful memories of when we did this cruise back in 2005 on the Maasdam.

  2. Give us your reason that it was quicker not using priority line. They did have one right? Happy sailings my friends. Allan and Sandra

  5. jeff, i can sense your excitement! i'm sure it is good to be back on board where you feel at home. if this is your new lens, it is taking great pictures. however, i think it all has to do with the photographer! with bruce on board, it should be a great cruise. he is a perfectionist, which is why he is always on the world cruises. beachlady
