Had a most excellent day on the island of Nuku Hiva today, part of the Marquesas…. Irene, Patrick, Corrine & I hired a driver, Alex, to take us for a tour of part of the island. We went from Taiohae, across the island to Hatiheu, stopping at the Kamuihei & Hikokua archaeology sites along the way. The island just takes your breath away with its scenic beauty. After leaving Hatiheu, we headed across the island again, this time heading to Houmi and the Bai de Tai Pi… just lovely. Along with the island being so beautiful, we found the people very welcoming and friendly. Then we headed back to town where we stopped off at the Keikahanui Pearl Lodge for drinks, a snack and some Wi-Fi, along with a beautiful location…. Just a beautiful day!
