The beginning of the adventure...

Here I sit at 35,000 ft., winging my way west to the city of Los Angeles.  Have I ever mentioned how much I hate long flights?  Anyway I digress..... It feels so good to start my adventure.  It is pretty exciting to think that I will be reunited with my Holland America family, once again, aboard the ms Amsterdam on Monday.  It's just the process of getting there that I hate.  Once I am aboard and unpack I will sit back, relax and be filled with excitement.  If I could just get past this hatred of flying......

  1. Welcome to CA. Sorry I won't get to see you this weekend or on Monday. We think my dad will be discharged from the hospital on Monday, so there won't be time to make the drive down to the ship.
Enjoy the first leg of the trip... see you in Hong Kong... please don't drink all the diet coke.

  4. Jeff,

Looking forward to your photos and commentary when on board. We have good friends, Lois and Ken from Atlanta, who are already on board. You may meet up with them along the way. Have a wonderful cruise.

  5. Hi Jeff

Let me introduce myself to you, my name is Ann Duncan. I am friend of Gloria Frank. I followed you last year on your adventure. I enjoyed your photos, the composition was very good. and your subjects were very interesting. And I know that you had put thought into each photo. I really enjoyed the wall art you captured in the different countries. On a world I did years ago On the QE2, I took photos of umbrellas in each country. It was fun seeing all the different ones along the way. I was a photographer back in the day. I am now a wheelchair person that follows you guys around the world.
Also, I went to Granby High school in Norfolk. I was a Navy raised person. Then VCU undergrad, GW(in DC) grad, and PhD.
    Now I live Las Vegas.
My glass is raised to toast you to a out standing adventure.
    Aloha Ann
