Leaving Ljubljana, we continued to the pretty alpine
resort of Bled to see Bled Castle...the castle is perched on top of a cliff
above Bled Lake...we climbed the steep cobbled path to the castle for the
spectacular views of the surrounding Karavanke mountains, Lake Bled and Bled
Island from the castle terraces. Aside from the spectacular views the other
highlight of the day was our stop at the Hotel Park for an original Bled Cream
Cake...our new favorite desert was absolutely delicious! Mitja was a fabulous driver, wish he was
taking us to Budapest tomorrow. We got back early enough from Lake Bled, I was
able to get a much needed 90-minute massage...Slovenia was a wonderful
experience…. Next up, Hungary!!!!
Budapest, here we come…
If you get a chance visit New York Palace Café in Budapest. Every one that goes there loves the food and the looks. I know we are going there in July or Aug., but probably just have dessert. Love your post and pictures
