2018 Grand World Voyage, Day 49, Fremantle, Australia

What a beautiful day...perfect weather for tour around Fremantle. Cathy and I left the ship early and walked along Victoria Quay to Bathers Beach. We climbed up to the Round House, the oldest building in Western Australia, with a view east down the High Street, south over Fishing Boat Harbor and west over Bathers Beach on the Indian Ocean. The view of the beautiful Victorian buildings lining High Street from the Round House to the Town Hall have been decorated bright yellow in a geometric design seen from the Round House vantage point....this artwork has in my view defaced these lovely restored old buildings. Continuing down High Street, we took in the sites, browsing the in the shops while making our way back to the ship. I spent a much needed afternoon at the pool on this wonderful sunny day. Today, we say farewell to Australia and looking forward to great weather for our next three days at sea before arriving in Bali, Indonesia.
