2018 Grand World Voyage, Day 21, Bora Bora, French Polynesia (Part 1 of 2)

I love Bora Bora!!!!   Bora Bora is a small South Pacific island northwest of Tahiti that is just stunning.... We spent a fun day on Patrick’s outrigger canoe....I have toured with Patrick’s company many times in the past for a day of swimming, snorkeling and soaking up all the beautiful scenery. The lagoon at Bora Bora is surrounded by motus (islets) and has a well-deserved reputation as being one of the most beautiful places in the world.  The lagoon is protected by a coral reef and it’s known for its snorkeling and scuba diving. The infinite shades of blue, from turquoise to sapphire and the white powdery sand beaches make Bora Bora the quintessential tropical paradise...the lush green majestic peaks also make Bora Bora the most beautiful of all the Polynesian Islands.  It is also a popular luxury resort destination where many guest bungalows are perched over the water on stilts. I spent the night here on one of those huts over the water and it is amazing. We had a fabulous day cruising around the islands...swimming/snorkeling amongst with the sharks, stingrays and numerous varieties of tropical fish...our delicious Polynesian BBQ lunch was served on the beach along with a fire dance performed by Patrick....another spectacular day in paradise.
