Tales of the South Pacific, Day 33, Neiafu, Vava'u, Tonga (Part 1 of 2)

A magnificent return to a lovely island, Vava’u, part of the Kingdom of Tonga.  I took the first tender over and hooked up a taxi with my friends Dieter, Ute and Janet for a couple of hours touring the island.  We were able to see a great deal of how they lived and the agriculture they cultivated .  The highlight was when we went up a narrow one lane road all the way out to ‘Utula’aina Point where the views were spectacular.  That coupled with the amazing sailing into and out of Neiafu gave us a true understanding of the natural beauty of the island…..   After we returned to town, We stopped for some refreshments and Wi-Fi before exploring the town.  It turned out to be a wonderful day, exceeding all expectations….  Tomorrow, I return to Alofi, Nuie….  This blog is in two parts, this is part one.
