2016 Grand World Voyage, Day 85, Muscat, Oman (Part 2 of 2)

Ann, Cathy and I hired a taxi and traveled for an hour and a half outside of Muscat and went to the Nakhl Fort and Oasis.  This is an impressive and well preserved Fort surrounded by an oasis. I climbed the forts flag pole to get a better view of the surrounding area.  At the Ain A'Thawararah oasis park Ann and Cathy dipped their feet in the warm spring water.  I was lucky to get a photo of a desert sand storm and a bunch of camels.  The Sultan Qaboos grand mosque is a spectacular site from the outside, couldn’t go in because of time for prayer....    The driver also drove us to see the Al Amin and the Said Bin Tumoor mosques. Our last stop was the Murtah Souk, wifi and a delicious middle eastern lunch.  Great day in Muscat Oman!  We had a fabulous sail away party, 1001 Arabian Sights Sail Away....  We all had a wonderful time! This is part two of two parts.
