Day 170 Yangon, Myanmar (Part 1 of 3)

And so our adventure began as we drove away from the ms Amsterdam….  On the way to Yangon there were sights along the way that made it interesting…..  We even got a look at a temple or 2 but, the highlight of the morning was a visit to the Morning Market….  The people there were spectacular in their traditional clothing and facial decorations….  Just fabulous!  More will follow in the upcoming sections including Shwedagon Pagoda, the holiest spot in Myanmar for the Buddhists….

  1. After looking at your beautiful photos of the people, I found an interesting article on Burma, in an old National Geographic magazine, which said the cheek decorations are Thanaka, a powdered bark.
