Day 121 At Sea, President's Club Dinner

Pretty amazing day!  First of all…. Usual weather, just glorious….  Sat and soaked up the sun while reading and anticipating the night time activities.  We had our President’s Club Induction dinner for new members of the club.  To qualify, you have to have actually sailed over 1400 days at sea with Holland America Line, that is a lot of days….  Anyway, there were 7 new inductees; David & Elaine Farrington, Irmgard Reichert, Bill & Mary Ann Barry and my dear friends Allan & Sandra Benson.  The evening we just divine, from beginning to end, great meal (about 7 courses I believe), different musicians and singers coming and going with just a perfect flow as the evening progressed.  The service was just perfection!  It was just a perfect evening!  I know Allan & Sandra were very excited and we loved sitting with Captain Jonathan Mercer and his lovely wife Karen.  Much thanks goes out to Henk Mensink and his team including Cruise Director Gene Young, Paul Kerr and his entire culinary team, in particular Chefs Daniel & Joseph and Tina, the Pinnacle Grill Manager and her entire staff…..  Just spectacular!  We also celebrated, fellow President Club member Don MacDonald’s birthday at the event….  Very nice.  After the dinner we went up to the Crow’s Nest and joined a bunch of our friends to continue the celebration.  Thanks also to the ship’s photographer for providing a number of photos from the event…..  What a day!!!!
