Day 38 Singapore Part 1 of 3

Had a fabulous day today exploring Singapore….  Started out being the first one off the ship and didn’t stop until 12 and a half hours later.  First, it was off to Chinatown on the MRT and did some shopping, a lot of photos and a couple of temples along the way.  From there we walked to Clarke Quay and followed the Singapore River all the way to Marina Bay.  There were a lot of scenic stops along the river as we made our way to the bay.  We made our first stop at the Merlion and then walked around the bay, stopping at the Esplanade for some scenic views from the roof top terrace.  From there we walked to the Marina Bay Sands on our way to the Gardens by the bay where we spent a few hours in the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome.  The flowers were just amazing.  The inside of the domes is air conditioned which was greatly appreciated with the very hot and humid conditions as we hiked around Singapore.  After finishing at the gardens, we went to a few shops out by City Hall looking at some digital technology items…  No bargains here!  Anyway, it was then time to return to the Marina Bay Sands to visit Brad & Gloria who were staying there.  It was a great opportunity for some night time photography.  What a view from their room on the 51st floor.  Spent a couple of hours there and then walked back around the bay for some night time photos of the Marina Bay Sands….  Magnificent!  Then it was time to take the MRT back to the ship…..  This blog is in 3 separate posts, too many photos for a single blog.  That seems to happen a lot with me.  Perhaps I need to start doing less……
