Day 36 Phu My, Vietnam (Part 1 of 2)

We arrived into the port of Phu My very early this morning and the ship was cleared around 6:00…..  Took a ship transfer to Ho Chi Minh City, about 1 ½ hours away.  We were dropped off at the Bitextco Finance Tower, a fairly new addition to Ho Chi Minh City.  Set out immediately for the Ben Thanh Market, stopping at another market close to the drop off point along the way.  It was great seeing the people going about their daily business at the markets.  Then it was off to a few of the standard tourist stops like the Rex Hotel (with lunch), the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic post office.  The last major stop was to the observation deck on floor 49 of the Bitextco Finance Tower…  Nice view.  The day turned out pretty nice, we even had some nice sights along the way….  The blog is presented in two parts, here is part 1.  Looking forward to our day at sea tomorrow as we make our way to Singapore…..
