Day 6 Guaymas, Mexico (Part 2 of 2)

My touring of the town of Guaymas was wonderful today….  I got a lot of walking in and enjoyed the people of Guaymas.  They put so much work into hosting us today.  It was a first time visit for the Statendam and they really put forth a great effort.  There were guides all over the city with t-shirts on asking “Can I help you?”.  They also had a huge number of police officers out to keep us safe.  As a matter of fact, I walked to town and back unlike most of the guests, they took the free bus.  I had a police escort back to the ship, 2 officers on 4 wheel ATVs, one in front and one behind me.  I just smiled and kept walking….  I did feel really safe.  The town was fairly small with a Malecon along the waterfront and a nice market.  There was entertainment at a number of locations going non-stop, one act after another.  They did a wonderful job.  I also hooked up some fast Wi-Fi and finished loading a new operating system on my new MacBook Air, Life is good!
