Day 67 At Sea

I spent a lovely morning poolside, weather was great.  Then about 10:15 I went in, showered and got dressed for a Mariner luncheon.  I sat with the Hotel Director, Henk Mensink, and had a wonderful time.  Once lunch was over, it was poolside again.  At 3:00, I went in for the Filipino Crew show.  The show was fantastic, they really put a lot of effort and their personal time into it.  There was a very moving moment during the show…..  In remembrance of the destruction caused by Typhoon Haiyan they played a slideshow of before and after photos of the area affected and the total destruction.  At the same time, Igor, the lead singer from Serendipity, sang “The Prayer”.  It was so moving that tears were streaming down my face….  I’m sure many others were affected in the same way.  This evening we celebrated Thanksgiving with a wonderful meal and even had some wonderful guests at our table.  Amy, from Effy jewelry, formally from Holland America and our cruise consultants Thom & Tina joined us.  It was a very nice way to celebrate Thanksgiving….
