So much for service....

I have tried to post a blog 16 times today unsuccessfully.....  If Holland America Line ever delivers internet service that actually will allow me to post photos, I will blog again.  Until then......

  1. We feel your pain reg the Internet on HAL!!!! Really???? In this day & age there can't be better service!!?? To say nothing of the cost $$$$$ HAL charges to sign on to the Internet . It would be nice to give their VERY loyal customers a break on their poor service.
Sorry to vent, but we share your pain each time we are on board a HAL ship!!
Can't wait to see your wonderful photos!!
    Most importantly have FUN!!!

  4. the problem is that most major cruise-lines at sea use MTN http://www.mtnsat.com/mtn-markets/cruise-lines and have the franchise 'locked-up'... they are bad bad bad.. archaic with one purpose to rip off the customer with ridiculous high pricing for inferior slow satellite connections

on our 45 day Europe-cruise last October on the Maasdam( we leave again in less than 2 weeks on the Masadam same cruise)... after we left St Martin for the 7 day crossing to the Canaries the Internet went out.. and stayed out.. they tried to repair it in Tenerife.. no good.. they finally flew an Engineer in to Casablanca along with a major part to fix it... so we got it back.. but in the meantime

..HAL refunded everyone's internet package charges immediately after they made the announcement.. as well as leaving the remainder of the internet minutes on the account to use incurring no charges.. bottomline.. we all got a 'freebie'
    .. p.s. I am still in shock :)
