Day 19 Jeju, South Korea

What a fabulous day in Jeju Island, South Korea….  Larry, Carol & I headed out immediately after the ship was cleared and arranged for a taxi for the day.  We were heading for the west coast of the island since we had all visited the east coast on previous visits.  Or goal was to go to Hallim Park.  On our way out of town we first stopped at the fish market…  What a perfect way to start the day.  Next we stopped for a look at Dragon Head Rock and Yongyeon Cloud Bridge, not quite as good as the fish market but nice nonetheless.  Then it was off to Hallim following the coast road.  We stopped here and there for a scenic stop but the best came when we arrived into the port of Hallim.  We stopped and watched the fishermen (and women) clean the fish out of the nets…. very cool!  Then we finally made it to the park.  We started in the Subtropical Garden and then proceeded to the Hyeopjae & Sspangyong Caves.  It was a nice start to our park visit but…  things would just continue to get better  After leaving the caves we went through the Jeju Stone & Bonsai garden, simply magnificent!!!!  We were just loving it.  Then we went through the Jae-Am Folk Village which was very interesting.  We finished up with a stop at the Water Garden which was fantastic, what a wonderful visit…..  Our driver then took us south to the Yongmeori Coast where we say the Hamel Ship Exhibition and a very nice Buddhist Temple….   Then it was back to town with a stop here and there.  We all agreed that the day was superb…..
