Day 32 Half Moon Cay, Bahamas

Today was a big surprise….  I really expected the weather to be very cool and windy and in fact it was just perfect.  I went ashore on the first tender to Half Moon Cay, as usual, and went for a walk.  Allan & Sandra had joined me so it was nice to share the walk together.  We headed to see the Stingrays, always an interesting attraction, and circled around until we arrived at the Captain Morgan’s bar.  We set up chairs there for our day on the beach.  I continued down the beach to the end where the stables are located to see my friends Tim, Ian & Lisa for their ride in the water.  Ian & Lisa had a great ride but alas, Tim, after giving me the thumbs up, fell off his horse in the water.  I did manage to get a photo of the rider less horse for a memento for Tim.  I was just a fabulous day at the beach.  In the afternoon, I headed back to the ship and went directly to the pool to finish up the afternoon.  This evening, I had the honor of joining my great friend Willem for his last dinner on the Amsterdam….  After 43 years he leaves the ship tomorrow for retirement.  He will be greatly missed by countless friends around the world.  Have a great retirement my friend.  I’ll see you in Thailand someday.  Oh yeah, I almost forgot….. The 2012 Grand World Voyage starts tomorrow.  I am more than ready for this voyage to begin….
