Day 27 Castries, St. Lucia

Lovely day in St. Lucia….  It was so windy when I went out on the forward decks this morning I could barely keep my feet under me.  Fortunately, by the time we arrived into port it calmed down.  Allan, Sandra & I elected to walk into town and go to the markets.  It was a bustling day for the people here.  The markets were jam packed with people presenting a few good photo opportunities.  The one thing that was very noticeable was that the people were not very friendly…. pity for such a beautiful island.  I suspect the economy has something to do with it.  Anyway, the walk and the markets were very nice but due to the heat of the day it was much nicer to sit and enjoy a cold drink…  I was extremely happy to be able to enhance my wardrobe with an excellent hat, very stylish.  The women really seem to like it…… After we finished in town, we walked back to the ship and headed for the aft deck.  The rest of the day was spent poolside visiting with friends and enjoying the sun.  Tonight is New Year’s eve….  I will do a separate post for the New Year’s celebration.
