Day 6 Sedona, Arizona (Part 1)

Maybe I should have just titled this "Got Color"?  What an amazing place....  After we left Walnut Canyon National Monument, Brad & I took Highway 89A, the scenic highway into Sedona.  What a beautiful trip...  First it was the Ponderosa Pines then we started seeing our first Red Rock formations.  Once in Sedona, we checked into the hotel and headed out.  First we took the Upper Red Rock Loop road.  The highlight was Cathedral Rock...  The best view was from Crescent Moon Ranch... what a view...  Then we headed to Highway 179, one of the more scenic drives.  The first big highlight was the Chapel of the Holy Cross which is built into the rocks...  Beautiful church and a tremendous view point.  We continued on seeing many sights with Bell Rock & Courthouse Rocks being standouts.  Then we headed back to town for a little shopping and great photos.  It was back to the hotel where I loaded over 700 photos onto my laptop.  I did my blog for Walnut Canyon and got ready to go back out again.  It was time to head out to the lookout above the airport for great sunset shots of the suns rays on the rocks.  What a perfect way to end a fabulous day!!!!
